i'd upgrade the suspension and just drive it like that.....has a lot of character

AS much as I love these wagons...I think the asking price is tad high. You can get a 68 T/C that needs almost nothing, turn key and go, for less than his asking price. The disc brakes are Budd units...will need a full redo...$1000 minimum...and then all the other little things from a car that's been sitting many years.

I agree with you Brian. To just make it a nice driver you'd be way upside down in it. Also don't forget it needs a headliner which is cardboard and even if you find a good one it will be so brittle you never be able to ship it or install it.

First of all you're wrong the brakes do not need to redo I put a new master cylinder it has 4 bolt calipers. An the wagon is turn key. The break setup alone is worth a grand 383 engine hp heads all original with dual snorkel virgen engine is worth a couple of grand. 15x6 steel whelks same as a Hemi are worth money.
So if you guys are the experts why don't you tell me what's it wort and shoot me an offer? And the car is can nuys ca.
And guys please don't make no mistake the car is turnkey it runs and drives still has the original date coated coil on it everything about this course original it dries just the way it drove 40 years ago.
And yes it does need paint and interior. And a headliner for it is $250
You get all the seats redone for a grand

The wagon will be at fall fling if any la locals come down. Again tell me what its worth im open to offers. i have Ebodies and A boodies but this is my first C body so i posted what i think its worth but hey could be wrong

When you say a headliner for it is $250 are you talking a new cardboard type? I haven't looked for one in 3 or four years but back then no one reproduced C Body wagon headliners. If they are reproduced now that is fanrastic. As far as what it's worth, since you're in Van Nuys the Spring Fling Mopar show at Woodley Park is next month. October 20th. If you don't sell it before then that would be your best bet for selling it. Please don't get too upset with us commrnting on the value of your wagon. You just got to remember that "C" Body values across the board are way lower than A B or E bodies. Even a show quality restored C Body wagon would most likely not top 10- 12 thousand. Good luck with selling your wagon.

Sorry , I was typing my responce as you were posting yours.

Kool wagon! Welcome to the site from the Motor City! Yeah definitely don't take offense to anything we say about values and asking price. That's one of our favorite pass times around here. I will say we are pretty accurate though! My only observation would be a VERY lofty value you put on the 383 and that's coming from someone who's particular to `68s. Just my .02!

Yeah, wondering why our cars are so expensive nowadays? This ad is about one week old...same car.

Trying to clear a cool $5K on that one eh....The original paper seller was about right...$2K for that car.

And throwing a new master cylinder on a 4 piston budd brake system won't make it work right. The cups will jam up in the bore, if not already from sitting, and you will only get braking on odd sides of the brake pads. I know all about these systems since I resotered one on a 68 B-body rag. Calipers alone, resleeved in stainless...were $400 each, then new rotors...$500...and then all the other parts and hardware...I was into the whole thing for close to $2K!!!

With the condition issues I would say $2000. I don't know anyone that is going to do 9 passenger seats for $1000.
