$1000 isn't too far off the mark if it's not a rust bucket. Scrap steel price is pretty high in the northeast, so there's probably $500 in real value. Offer $800 and I'll bet the car will be yours.

Dumb question... Is that the correct stub frame? I see what looks like bumper shock mounts.

Nope. Slab/Fuselage.

Plus, the upper control arms are a dead give away.

That seems to be the way of people selling cars on craigslist. They post the car and then never get back to anyone interested.

IMO out of the four body styles (FL/Slab/Formal/Fuselage) the fuselage cars look the worst when dented and banged up.
