When working on the electrical system all in a sudden the head light doors opened and did not close again. Strangely enough the light switch was not touched at that moment.

The problem now is that the headlight doors and low beam lights are not working when turning on the light switch. But when the high beam lights are turned on addtionally the high beam lights work perfectly and the headlight doors open and close again when the high beam lights are turned off! The parking lights don't work either when turning on the lights or parking lights, but the signal lights work perfectly!

Anyone a clue what happened and how to solve?

Start with the simple stuff....
Pull keft kick panel abd carpet to check the foot dimmer switch. Check for any melted wires.
With a multi meter with headlight switch on, check dimmer for power going in and out.
Replace dimmer switch if needed.
The doors run on the same feed as the headlight, IIRC.
hope this helps.

If I’m not mistaken, the headlight doors open when there is a burnt out headlight. The ground runs through the filament, so when that happens the doors open and stay open so you can address the problem.

That is correct. They stay open for a burnt out bulb.
