Not mine, but I found it interesting, so I thought I'd share. Data plate says V1F (full green vinyl top) whereas the top pattern on the car was used on 69 Satellite/ 70 Barracuda & 'Cuda and was V1Q...so probably not original.

Chrysler Corp did lots of weird one offs though and this does look like it "grew" there.

I wonder...

This belongs to Mike in Nebraska, a member here. He picked it up on the left coast a year plus ago. Interesting car. I dont believe it is factory but Id like to know the story of where that top came from

Yes I am still trying to get a new home for this one. It is not a factory mod top as the tag shows but the original owner said it was always on the car and that is why she bought it back in 69. So maybe the dealer took off the white top and added the mod top right away? Never will know though as there is NO documentation at all showing the top on the car when purchased.

Very cool car.

A lot of flower power people back in the day.....

V1F is a green vinyl top. A White top would be V1W.

My guess is that the tag is a miss stamp. It happens. I had a 69 GTX once, obviously original, that was R4 red with black vinyl top and interior. the tag was coded as a white top. That car also had a build sheet for a Road Runner in the seat springs.

Doug, I have to think that you checked for a broadcast sheet.

Some thoughts.....

A Plymouth top on a Dodge?
A B body top on a C body?
Why would a C body plant have B body material on hand?
I presume a C body top would have to be specially formed out of bulk material.
IF ordered that way, why would the fender tag reflect a common top to that color combo and not a trim waiver code?

One would have a lot of explaining to do to state this was factory without factory documents.

Im feeling like the dealer did it because it was sitting on their lot and they thought it to be cool

If you ordered such a floral top as a spare part, would it be possible to order as bulk material as mentioned by 69 Coronet RT or was this material also sold on the aftermarket ?

From the book "Cars of the Sizzling '60's", there's mention of a dealer installing it in the 1967 Dodge section of the book.

I feel like it should have that clear Plastic on the roof, Not only to protect it but add that certain level of Tacky.
