Period correct. I used to see things like that on the streets.
It's far from practical but very cool to see again.
 
Fun to look at, I like it. I would however like to clarify that I'm not sure that I could look at it every day.
 
front ends were up in the air for weight transfer and weight reduction .. and to handle the landing when they came down

rear's were not supposed to be in the air

I keep forgetting that 3/4's of the members here don't know the background of REAL Gassers in Hot Rodding history.
And 98% of the "gassers" you see being built now are as incorrect as sidepipes on a T-bird 4 door.
Shame.........
