This car has a lot of "presence". Very nice combination. 318 is fine 17-20 MPG works great for me. It's a drivers car. No mention of A/C though. Non A/C would be a deal killer.

Especially down south! :)

Nice looking car...reminds me a lot of the 1970 Chrysler Newport my uncle owned.

Exact same color combo, but his had bench front seat, no console (of course) and was a 383 2bbl. It had factory AC too.

it is funny how we think so different sometimes about details.

My DD is a 1970 Imperial with 440, the gas mileage is terrible (exspecially because I drive it around town a lot caught in traffic jams).
I never cared about MPG in my life yet.
My AC doesn't work and I don't care either. Of course Germany isn't as hot as the southern and western part of the US.
But even in the hot days with temperatures above 90 F I just turn down all windows and I am fine. It is a triple black car so it gets a lot of extra heat from the sun.
So these things don't bother me at all.

But..........despite one all my C-Bodys are 440 cars because I do hate it to have the feeling to be "underpowered".
In traffic I want to have the save feeling that I can quickly accerlate if needed and vanish.

Was on sale about a year ago IIRC with the same pics.

I usually agree with you and respect you for much above except this always gets under my skin

Obviously, youve never driven a 360, a 383-4 or a 340 swapped in. . . . and you have missed out on a lot

Hi Dave,

we are all different with different opinions. That is good !

I have a 71 SF with 383-2. Also had a 69 Mod Top Satellite with 383-2. Combined with 2,76 gears it has a lack of torque IMHO. They also have converters with lower stall than the 383-4 engines.

All my wagons with 383s felt slow. They were 383-4 cars (70 Sport Suburban, 69&70 T&C).
Surprisingly my 72 Sport Suburban with a 360 felt and drove faster than most of my 383 wagons.

Despite my C-bodys I am used to drive B-Body Muscle cars (all 4-speeds), most of them with 4,10/3,54 or 3,91 gears. I like the "kick in" of plenty of torque.

I am missing that power in a C-body due to several reasons.
Unfortunatly no 4-speed fuselage C-Bodys were built, second the gears are longer (3,23 is the shortest gear).

So for a "quick pass" in heavy traffic you need to accelerate fast.
Or if you have to rush to turn over an intersection.

I think I'm about an hour and a half away. If someone was seriously interested, you could pm me. Maybe, we could work out a deal to inspect/buy/store/deliver to car transport company
