Discovered this beauty by accident.. Looking good, and priced reasonably considering that it's already in EUR..

Seller info:

Hello and welcome.
Up for sale is my 1969 chrysler imperial 440. being the le baron it is top of the range and has electric windows even the quarter lights are electric and all work. as central locking. lectric seats. ruise control. ir conditioning but the pump is not fireing up but the heater works fine.
The interior is in good condition apart from drivers seat has wear (see photo) headlining. oor cards. carpets all in good condition. the seats are vinyl so would'nt cost fortunes to repair.
The bodywork is in excellent condition. no rot just a small amount of bubble above bootlid (see photo) has some micro blistering on bonnet and bootlid but paint work still shines well. all the panels are straight. Underside is in excellent condition.
The engine in this car is excellent. the 440 7. 2 starts 1st time every time and sounds awesome having duel exhaust systems straight through (no silencers) sounds like a muscle car. and although this car weighs a lot it is no slouch. Has MSD ignition. lectric fuel pump. holley carb. The auto gearbox changes up and down as it should.
Last year when i imported the car from california and got it to the uk i had a driveshaft break so took the axle out and took it to hauser racing where they shot blasted the axle ordered all new rear brake system and had 2 new drive shafts custom made by strange. with all new sealed wheel bearings. ew studs and wheel bolts. new bolts for the leaf springs and new u clamps. so all the rear end of the car is now new. Also had a new brake master cylinder fitted so the brakes work as they should. Has disc brakes on the front which are all excellent. I have all the bills for the work carried out the axle alone cost £1200.
This car is a bit on the large side length is 19ft and width is 6ft 8 inches so would need a aircraft hanger for a garage or a massive car cover. The car has just been mot'd and the tax is free!!!! has stereo with 10 stack cd in the boot.
To sum it up here's a chance to own a rare 60's american car as not many of these were made. which is in really good condition for a 44 year old car and with not that much money could be beautiful. would make a excellent wedding car or chauffeur car. Don't hesitate to email or phone with any questions.

For once, I actually like the wheels.. probably because they somewhat resemble the original wheel covers!

It’s a beauty and somewhat familiar. I wonder if I’m remembering it from before it went across the pond.

price is not in EUR but british pound (GBP)
6995 GBP is 7872 EUR=9683$ USD

Wow that’s gorgeous, is that an OE color?

Yes, it's called "deep plum".

I am trying to think up combos for my '69 4drhtp. I also have the white leather interior. My car currently has a terrible 80s repaint in black, original color was a metallic gray. Thus to matter what, I'll be painting everything. Might as well go with what I want because I intend for this to be a keeper.

Julian’s Coupe is a deep plumb car, I think he needs this one too.

The seat faces are leather (sides are vinyl). This year should also have skirts.

I am pretty sure this is not a live ad, it looks like it is old and this site is one of those sites that just posts ebay ads etc to generate traffic

When I wrote "priced reasonably, especially considering its already in EUR", what I meant was location, that it has already been shipped over here to "the less fortunate parts of the world", which usually adds to the price. If I was talking currency, it wouldn't make any sense, as 1 Euro = 1.23276 U.S. dollars ;-)

I love this color.. Great for such a stylish car. It's one of the colors I consider for my Charger, but several of my silly car-friends says it's "gay", what ever that means... :-D

doesn't your Charger have a fender tag which tells you which colour it should have ?

And I am fine with the Imperial colour.

Hurry up with England as long as they are still part of the EU. Looks like there will be no customs union so it will get expensive to buy cars in the UK and bring them to European mainland.

Ha ha, well yes.. it does.. ;-)

But "unfortunately", the fender tag says "WW-1"... and as long as I am only "considering", I guess the color choice is wide open.

We are not that far apart when it comes to conserving the cars as original as possible, but I think that painting a 68' Charger white, is almost like pouring coke in good rum. White will never show the amazing body in the same way, as a nice dark metallic color would...

However, the conservationist part of me, still hopes, that "I will come around", and paint it in it's original color, or even leave it as is. It has abt 60% original paint, but it does not look good, and has a lot of dents and dings, and gap-correcting body work ahead... After that is done, I suspect the remaining original paint i less than half the car.. so, I am still "considering" the options..

I was thinking a lot about going white again, but having the seats "inserts" and vinyl roof made with subtle black paisley, but I suppose that's not what Carsten want's to hear either..? :-D

I think that would look great with the white.. but the white would still "hide" the lovely shapes along the side og the car.

If the Charger is an R/T and is white over black with black rump stripe and top I’d definitely keep it that way.

I would save the original paint if possible.
But I am usually an originality nerd

I would too, if.. but "unfortunately", it started life as a base model 318 auto, white ext, black roof, and blue int.. so I don't feel TO obligated, to keep anything except close to my Mopar heart.. ;-)

I wouldn't mind having the Charger ALL original, even with the 318, as I really need a reliable car to go far, and not ruin me with excessive gas consumption, but when I found it, it had been equipped with a ferocious 440 which i didn't like to much, but it was the least rusty 68' I had seen for years.

I did track down the original engine, and talked to the owner abt. buying it back. It's currently in a Cuda, in another part of Denmark, so he was relucant to sell.. I then tried to buy the Cuda, to kill two birds, with one stone, sorta speak.. but Cuda's don't get sold a lot in Denmark. They only get bought.. But I will try again!

The Chargers interior is infamous around here, and the seats are covered with shopping bags from various supermarkets. As long as I don't know what to do with the car, and still enjoy it as "Rat'ish" as it is, I don't give a rat's a.. about how it looks inside, OR what ppl say, but the subject ALWAYS coming up, whenever I appear in the car, and I am tired of the TIME it takes, listening to all the dumb jokes from ppl with "inferior cars". I have never been a big fan of blue interiors, (unless in superb condition, and original), so I am going with black, and I am close to having all the parts.

I hope the paisley will look good, if I ever get around to doing it.. at least it will shut up all the Mustang guys, (who can buy their interiors in 57 colors, and 18 styles on every street corner)

:-D

If there was more of it left, I would too Carsten. Anyways, I am probably going to end up painting it white again.. I am just waiting for me to "get around to doing it right".

I'm a little late to the game... I posted this car a few years ago. At this time it was not for sale. The Pictures are from 2010 unfortunately. I would like to see new pics of the car!

Unfortunately it's not Deep Plum, it's a metallic Repaint. But it's damn close to Deep Plum and I really like it that way!
