I think this has been through here before.

Very nice car... I wonder if it's being flipped.

This car has been posted here before, so it is back up for sale again. Green isn't many people's favorite color. Personally, I hate the bump strips people add to these cars - they wreck the clean lines of the car. But it does seem to be a nice example of a 300 convertible with a lot of options.

The white looks amazing with this green.

I can see the seams screaming in tortuous agony ready to burst all at once in a catastrophic explosion.

There was a factory version of those side body strips, not sure if this one has them.

Here's the Video coming with the ad. Clean survivor.

Oh yeah it's clean. Perhaps the best we have seen. But take a close look at that ad: the car is in Georgia. Where it's been for the past two or three years, at minimum. I think this is not being flipped. Its been for sale for years by the same vendor. He wants something like 38K for it.

I think the green and white combo make for a good looking car. I agree that it looks to be for sale for quite some time. If you have something for sale for three years there is a good chance it is priced over the market...

Yes, but they were higher up on the body and were horizontal I believe. In either case, I would rather risk having a dinged panel than have to look at that strip every time I gaze at an otherwise beautiful car.

My parts book shows a strip running along that body line. I can't tell you if the car in question has OEM or aftermarket, but the parts book shows the strip in that location.

I don't care for them and I wish they looked better... Door dings are expensive to fix these days.

Maybe the few cars I had at one time with those were aftermarket, as you are correct, the factory ones do seem to be along the character line in the parts book. I still don't like either look on those bodies. The trim strips on the Polaras and Monaco that included rubber bump strips worked a lot better on those bodies I thought.
