Bucket seat car..... he ruined a bucket seat fury

And because he "has $20,000" invested in the car, he's selling it for more money than it's really worth, especially when you have to fix the paint, find better wheels, and a console, which I'm guessing he tossed to put in his aftermarket shifter. Fantastic.

I didn't look that closely originally, I assumed he put a floor shifter on a car that was originally a column-shift car. But looking again, I don't see any evidence of a shifter on the column.

Did bucket seats always come with consoles? I guess that's a stupid question, because you would probably have a console if you had a floor shift, right?

And I agree that it's overpriced. My rule of thumb is that, regardless of modifications, you price based on condition. At best, the value of the modifications just equal the cost of returning to stock.

Maybe, since the car was in the family so long, he has all the parts still, and will deliver them in the trunk. Then all it needs is paint and wheels!

Those vertical rice burner/tuner gauges have GOT to go. They belong in a Toyota Supra, not a 70' Plymouth Fury what the hell is wrong with people.

I'd two-tone it with the silver on the sides and leave the roof, hood and trunk blue. Ditch the flames, get rid of some of the silliness under the hood, and then tint the windows. Drive and enjoy.

And, yes, you could order buckets and have a column-shift at the same time.

Even if you got the car for free the cost to fix it would be about the value of it..... Too far gone for a purest.....

Too far gone? Really? There's a guy on this board welding hand-built patch panels in his carport. That thing is in way better shape than some of the cars I see rescued here. Imagine it was a stock 70 with a crumpled fender and a worn-out interior. Then everyone would be clamoring that the car should be saved.

Overpriced, sure. But not too far gone to save.
