I am looking for a pair of spindles, dust shields and caliper brackets to do the disc conversion on my 1970 manual drum brake Fury III. Don't really need or want the rotors and calipers as they are so heavy to ship although I am open to talking about a whole package if the price is right. PM...I have PayPal. Thanks, Mark

If you can, go with the '73s. Rotors for the earlier ones are damned expensive! I paid $450 for two over ten years ago. That was just for the rotors.

1973 spindles are very hard to find and cost a great deal.1969 to early 1972 spindles are cheap and available. Supposedly there are 1 piece rotors with the small bearings are available from Centric for around $46....I don't know for sure yet.The pin type calipers are sold out right now, but I am not doing a deep dive until I get spindles, dust shields and brackets.I have all winter so I will be patient and try for a good deal.

Just an FYI, 69-72 C body disc brake spindles are the same and the only stand alone is the 73 spindle. So that may open up your search a bit..
Oops, my bad. I don't know how to change the title. I am looking for a '69 to '73 setup.

I have a complete set up with Spindles and brackets and dust shields ( the shields are in need of some work, but they are there) I personally removed these parts from a 73 T&C -
THE LAST 73 set that was available from Ayottes.
I purchased brand new calipers, pads, rotors, bearings, and seals
I still have the old rotors(serviceable if turned) and calipers that will go with the set.
I am asking $650, and would be willing to deliver to you for free!
Give me a shout!

That is a good deal, but I simply cannot afford it right now.I may be able to swing in the spring after I save up the money, but I would never presume to ask you to save them for me.I have found a set of 1972's on Car-Part without the calipers or rotors for $200 plus shipping but it is too soon to pull that trigger.Should have kept the setup I sent with my '68 I guess.:BangHead:

I have been collecting these parts to do the conversion myself. However it seems like I will never have the time to do it. And so, the collection has just been sitting here, and I am not actively trying to sell it at this point in time.
I read your post, and know how hard these spindles are to find , and how crazy shipping can be, so I thought I would offer the kit up to You -because you are somewhat local, and looking to do this project! They may still be available come springtime - but if I do decide to put them out on the market-I will give you a heads up first!

Thanks....we will see what happens.

if you are doing a 73 dont you need the upper control arms as well? the upper ball joint is bigger....i just found an old car yard here in colorado with a 73 fury with spindles, caliper brackets and upper control arms------and a possible 73 polara with the front wheels still on----they both have the pin/style kelsey hays calipers....

73 does not require upper control arms
