Don't know if anyone saw this yet, but it looks like it could be a pretty solid car.

Dang! Anyone want to bring that to Arizona? You can stay with Chris (azblackhemi) he has lots of room! Haha

Yep, we've been up and down this one.

It all depends on what is wrong with that engine.

The price is a steal if it's an easy fix.

If you try to run a car with old gas, the varnish in the gas will deposit on the valve guides and very quickly the valves will become stuck in the guides, causing the pushrods to bend usually. The fix is pretty easy usually, just put some new pushrods back in place after thoroughly soaking the the guides/stuck valve stems with penetrating fluid such as carb cleaner and then tapping the valves with a small hammer until they are free. I learned this the hard way many years ago.

If they are stuck shut, I get that.

But if they are stuck OPEN........don't want to think about it.

However, if it's "only bent pushrods", as you said, that should be fixable. Worst case, a head rebuild.

Since I am the paranoid type, I would still suspect cam damage is also possible. Or even a timing chain stretch too.

But I am only speaking from paranoia, not experience. :)
