1971 Dodge Polara Custom. This car belonged to my Dad, he drove it for 39 yrs. He was an LA City Fireman. The car has many custom extras; balanced and blueprinted, 360 cubic inch motor, external transmission cooler and transmission oil pan cooler.

Interior is original with no rips or tears. Newer, wide tires, brakes recently overhauled. The car has been meticulously maintained. Runs excellent, purrs like a kitten, all tuned-up and ready for a cannonball run to New York!

$4700.00. Please call George at 541-218-2664 Thanks!

That's very nice. I don't think people these days understand what blueprinted and balanced means.

You have to understand though, that modern engines cant be BnB'd.
The factory assembles them far better than a bench racer can these days.
Its DAMN hard to build a better quality engine than the factory.

I'm not trying to nit pick but what's up with the pinstripe ending in the middle of the fenders and the sticker on the left fender?

I'm not sure what it means...

Blueprinting.....is simply means building an engine to specification. This could be to factory specifications (LOL..this is what most street cars engine specs are blueprinted to), or to someones racing engine spec's such as Ray Barton's 528 cu in Hemi or Fulton Racing 869 cu in ProMod racing engine spec's. I highly doubt you'll get the spec's from either engine builder. LOL! The bottom line to blueprinting an engine is that it is built to some sort of plan.

Balancing... all parts are made to certain tolerances, meaning that there are variations on size and weight. Also, parts that rotate won't rotate truly if one side of the part is heavier than the other. It will produce runout...which is a machinist term for wobble. A crankshaft, which is secured by 5 main bearings along it's length will try to wobble and cause excessive bearing wear or in extreme cases it will result in massive failure. There are 2 separate balancing requirements in an engine...balancing of reciprocating parts (pistons, rods, etc.) and balancing of rotating parts (crankshaft, harmonic balancer, etc.).

My 1978 NYB engine is balanced and blueprinted.....to factory spec's!

I don't mind the pinstripe, but not digging the sticker at all. Is that a B&M shifter sticker?
