Do NOT remove the lettering! That is one big part of the cool factor with this car is its' history. Remove the lettering, it's a red wagon.

You don't remove that lettering. That's the provenance of the car. The owner is a Mopar legend.

Maybe in NJ, but I've never heard of him. Besides, to me it takes away from the beauty of the car. I don't want someone else's name that I never heard of on my car.

Just like the dealers advertising plates that they used to drill holes on the deck lids to mount. Pisses you off.

Not that this guy is in that same category, but let's say one of our friends from the west coast owur Europe buys it. Do you think they want that gaudy advertisement on there? I wouldn't.
Kinda looks like a hearse with that writing on it.

Sorry... just my H O

Holy Octane Batman, What an amazing car. Why does every beautiful car get the negative nanny treatment?. That lettering that does not magically make it ugly, more likely makes the car more expensive. I don't think the person who antes up for this car is going to be hauling 4x8 sheets of plywood with it...you do know the wagons were designed to haul 4x8 sheets of whatever...don't you?:steering:
thank you for posting that - these cars are milestones

Ok county coroner car then Funeral director? Flower delivery car?

And yes I agree that it's beautiful... I'm just saying that the name on the side is gaudy. That's all.. Sheezus. And I would remove it if I owned it.

Oh and BTW... I owned a beautiful '76 T and C for years. Sold it to someone from Australia.

Wow, that’s stunning!:wideyed:

IF the lettering could be removed, the underlying surface will probably be sun-faded so "the letters" will still be there, just not in gold leaf.

Well said IMHO. Now if the lettering said Don Garlits Racing or Big Daddy Racing or something similar I would say that it has to stay.

Not sure I totally agree. At 10, 000 miles how much UV time has this car actually had?

I do. It was sold new at a VERY local dealership . I want a wagon, you know that. Why not this one?

I REALLY think that it would be worth it for you to make the trip to the Carlisle auction for this car. Whenever I have looked at the auction results for a Carlisle auction I have seen a lot of cars sell for less money than I thought they would bring. With the color, vinyl top and other options this wagon maybe a one of one built.

I’d have to remove it and if it left some sort of faded or non-faded mark I’d cover it back up with my own graphic.
If I were at all in the market for a wagon this would definitely be the one. It’s to bad they didn’t make these without a B-pillar.
