1972 plymouth fury III 4 dr have title, runs and drives. Given to me by a friend as a project. Needs TLC power steering leaks, probably needs a new master cylinder or has leak somewhere. Trunk lock is broken. But have Lock part Had the it about a year. Havent done a thing but find some old tires for it and one of them is backwards so it itll roll was driven regularly till about a year ago. Has a 383. Someone alone the line put a cd player in it. Asking 1000 obo txt or email is the best. 520three60 O 991

If it wasn't so damn far away I would get it for a winter car.
 
Sorry, that one is a little rough for a 2,000 mile road trip. Might attempt it with a truck/trailer following.
 
I would have to go through the brakes and cooling system and check the tires (and wipers) first.
 
Yeah, who needs brakes for a long trip on the highway. seriously, I was at my buddies place in upstate NY a few years back, about a 9 hour trip. I was driving my `97 Dodge full size pick-up and 1 of the brake lines burst shortly after I got on the highway to head home. Did I stop to fix it? No I just drove it home for the most part without much of a brake pedal. I had no problems and the most difficult part was the last 4 miles from the end of the highway driving to my driveway. You just pay a little closer attension to what's in front of you. Downshift when needed and hand on the e-brake release lever while using it when you need to actually come to a stop.
 
You could always crimp the broken line in an emergency. I wouldn't recommend driving it far in that emergency configuration.Especially on hills or mountains!
