Professional repaint? Professionals shouldn't miss an obvious detail such as seen here, on the door latch striker, yet gets missed almost all the time.

Aren't these cars front-wheel drive? Wonder what the handling was like.........
It was fantastic! I got to drive a '71 (first year of this new body) on a number of occasions when I was 16, in '74. My Dad's boss owned one and it was used as a "Company car." I made several deliveries in it. Sweet, powerful, and smooth. I would take turns marked at 45 MPH at 75 with no problems! That FWD would just pull through the turn! The 455 had plenty of power!

I have wanted a '71 ever since, but they are rarely available.

The only thing I disliked? The "rim-blow" steering wheel. Every time I backed up I would blow that damn horn!!

Mine was a great Minnesota winter beater in my early twenties and with front wheel drive before fwd was standard. It was a beast and impossible to kill...until the engine eventually seized up...after burning about a quart of oil a day.

I would predict an ending price between 10-12k. There was a equally clean same year Toro in Milwaukee area a few months ago but less appealing color. Personally I prefer the styling of my '66 Toro. The one that took 35 years plus to finally get.
