Quick question gentleman. I had my 1968 727 Torgueflight rebuilt, soft parts only everything else was in awesome shape. I am going with a different converter stall speed due upgrade on the engine. So the trans is empty and so is the converter. What is the amount of fluid necessary to assure proper lube at start up? Any procedure to accomplish this would be appreciated as well. Thanks

add about 4 quarts. Lift back wheels off ground. Start engine, add another 2 quarts. Once warm , foot on brake, go through gears. Once you know that park etc all lines up , let back on ground, check for leaks then add until good on dipstick.

And don't forget to check level idling in neutral.
