I was browsing the Charlotte auto fair April 17 when I saw this beauty on the back of a trailer. The seller was packing up late Sat when I saw it. The purchase was quick as I simply could not believe how rust free, complete & clean this was. A 2 door Monaco with a 400 & the last year of the fuselage? No question, I had to have it! It was priced super fair & delivery was included. (the owner was a Chevy guy who knew nothing about Mopars & I have no doubt it would have been crushed if I didn't buy it) The only rust was in the battery tray. Even found the build sheet under the back seat. Now to clean it up & get it running. Future pics & updates on progress to follow.

That is a great score!! I love those cars - one of my favorites. And in black. Gorgeous! If you ever get tired of it, just let me know!

No, I don't need them (thanks for thinking of me though!), I just find those particular ones unusually large and detract from the otherwise very attractive front end.

Usually I like the guards too on most cars, but those ones not so much.

Very good looking car in black!! ( Original paint ? )
I would order it with black interior....
Still a nice one...

( fendertag picture ? ).

I don't mind them as I prefer my cars stock but I agree the smaller ones of the 72 look better. Why do you need them?

Very nice car. I wouldn't change a thing. Those guards can look big on an ABE body, but they look just fine on yours and you never know... they might just save some piece of impossible-to-find trim one day.

That's gonna clean up real nice, congrats.
I'm gonna have to go against the flow on the bumper guard debate... my 73 Imperial had them on it but I removed them and what a difference. Such a much more clean look. Got 'em in storage if I ever want to put them back or I sell the car (doubtful)

Love the tan interior with a black car, nice find. Nothing like being in the right place at the right time, congrats!

Nice score. I was there, but walked the inside area looking for parts. That must have been in the outside area? I have not been in the outside area, but many say it is where the "real" swap meet is. Prices that I saw were in my opinion high which is typical. I scored an aluminum Edelbrock Performer intake for the 360CI in my '73 Fury. Paid $125 which I was OK with. Only thing I saw for a 360 intake. Chevy & Ford parts are the majority at Charlotte.

That is fantastic. Is that a no vinyl roof car?

Sure looks like it is a no vinyl roof car based on a photo Jason sent to my private email yesterday ( I don't think he would mind if I shared it with the group):

Jason has great taste in automobiles.
