Very nice!

A lot of people looking at this ad.

Not a big fan of how the exhaust is routed right over the leaf springs. Why?! If those are 14" mufflers then that throaty roar could also be a annoying drone at certain speeds. Been there and done that. Quickly dumped them for 20" ones. Otherwise nice.

Seems to think he should recover the money spent on repairs though.

"A/C needs charged".
Bullshit. Otherwise you would have done it. There's a $49.95 A/C charge shop on every block.

Means he doesn't want to get into the conversion which I have no idea what a shop would charge for that.

Show me a shop that will charge R12 for $49.95. I'd like to take my cars there.

You are correct on that point.
My intention was to say he brought it to a $49.95 place and found out what it truly cost because it needed more than just refrigerant.

If it will hold a vacuum...most will just fill it with R134A.

There's your conversion from R12.

One good pothole and the leaf spring takes out the tailpipe.

so what value do you guys put on this? Sorry if I missed it from an earlier reply.

I'd like to see who "appraised" it @ 8500.00 and look at how they came to that figure

Most "appraisals" are for agreed upon value insurance purposes ie Haggerty, what it would take to make you whole after a loss. It has absolutely nothing to do with the sales value of the car.

You can't just trot down to the Chrysler dealer and get another one so they have to figure what it cost to buy a fender in AZ, have it shipped to the far corner of nowhere and have a body shop do the repairs. This costs $$$ money and that's why the appraisal is most times at least 2 or 3 times what the car is actually worth on average.
