Not being negative about small blocks in general.....but it's nice to pop open the hood of a 72-73-74 Satellite to find a big block drilling ya between the eyes...a 440 BB even more so........it is an elusive animal.Nothing wrong with small blocks, especially when you gotta drive them everyday.

Our 68 300 had a 440, nice piece that was. Although, I gotta say, every time I see the price of gas the 318 in my Fury seems a little bit better. (Especially compared to the 383 73 NY I almost bought.)

Yeah, gas is a *****......but I'm tooling my 383 nonetheless. As long as I keep my foot out of it (which is most of the time) its not to bad. Open up them secondaries though....well I can see Abu at the Texaco in town grinning ear to ear.
