Well, not EXACTLY...

That's the sticking point on trying to do this.

These do well with the Imperial/New Yorker front clip swap. I've seen several, and all looked like the factory SHOULD have built the car in the first place. One of my favorites is a black '75 T&C in Germany that has been there since at least 1989. It is solid black, black leather, no woodgrain, factory sunroof(!), and a 440 with all of the smog nonsense removed. A very clean underhood appearance! Plus, it's a serious Autobahn cruiser, to boot!

Wood grain would be 30 kinds of wrong with the Imperial/New Yorker doghouse. I like wood grain, but on this, it doesn't look right with that factory woodgrain and trim on it. Nor, on the second car, does the two-tone do it any favors. Of the two, I'd take the top one.

If advertising this as a 74, i wouldve atleast put the correct bumper on it. I know I know its a conversion car but a 74 imperial didnt have that bumper

The top car sold on CL recently for $2,500. Just so you all know!

How would you handle the trim that goes on the front fender extension? I can't see a way without it looking as bad as the one we're talking about. His was a pretty FUBAR job.

Not sure. Have to see it in person and see what I could come up with. Of course it's a moot point knowing he paid $2500 or less for it I couldn't bring myself to give him $5500.

Perhaps, but if you are starting with a T&C with a damaged front and you have a decent Imp or NYB laying around, why not?
