Amongst my least favorite wheels, definitely needs its originals back. Most of The rust appears to be topical from stone chips.

It's a lot worse than you think.

It's a great winter driver...nothing else.

I still don't see it but you've seen first hand a couple of the projects in my shop, this thing MIGHT have 2 tiny rust holes in it. I bet there aren't too many surprises under the skin either, not to say there aren't any but they'd be minor also.

This one was driven in the snow and salt. I bet the trunk is rusted out. Probably rusted through the firewall near where the cowl drain is located. Around the rear window without a doubt. And a lot of other area's. My NY'er looks great from 10' too but has a ton of rust everywhere and looks rust free compared to this Newport.

IF it has 28K original miles and I said IF, this car is less likely to have the rust you think it does. If we had that attitude about all these cars with a little rust there'd be only a handful left and quite frankly I'm surprised at you Bob, what's up?

I've looked at a lot of formals the last few years and I know where the rust are on these things......if there is a lot of visual rust along the whole bottom of a formal....run!!! I'm not into "Nick" level of restoration on rusty cars......sorry.

I like it. He at least took pictures of the rusty areas. Most guys would have posted a couple of the full length photos where you see no rust. I really like that color on the Newport.
