That looks more like a ***** house parlor than Stan's.

Just my opinion...

The velour they used in Formal's just looks cheap to me. Just like the GM's of the 80's and 90's. If I had a choice....I would rather have this material in my NYB over the leather that I have now.
 
I love the velour, but the brocade cloth is excellent too and wears like iron. I once had a 75 St Regis that was a clone to this one (colour and everything)...I prefer the a cloth interior to the leather every time. My only non velour interior is my T&C and the vinyl was perfect so it stayed when I restored it.
 
Heat and sunlight are the enemies of the NYB leather. My NYB was literally parked outdoors for 30 years without the doors and windows opened once. The leather, door panels, roof rail seals, dash pad, steering wheel were all cracked and dried out and destroyed.

Hence my preference for cloth...plus I don't burn my arse off when I jump in the car in the summer.
