1978 Chrysler NewYorker 440...727 auto...Barn Find...needs some work...runs good...bought as a project....can drive but will prob need trailer as it has some dry rot tires...been lowered 3in but can be reversed easily...I was intending to make a rat rod out of it...leave message or text for response...only thing I see to make a driver it needs is the fuel gauge does not work. Its probably a float or sending unit....driver side window motor does not work...Would make a nice driver mopar. ($1,800obo). Thanks

Did they change the definition of the word "Barn"?
What exactly does it mean in todays terms? It seems to me that any place that houses a car that is older than 10 years is considered a barn...when did this **** start? Most of these dwellings have never seen a cow let alone actual farming activities and yet somehow have been elevated to barn status....

Stop it!

I hardly call the 90s a long time ago

Well the 90's was a long time ago but that term was in use in the early 80's except for hicks with mullets, then maybe 90's
I was using it in the 60's and I'm damn sure I got it from guys using it way before then.

I can't differentiate but that's not a bad thing. I've learned more from my elders than I've ever learned from my peers at any age.

When I was young(er), I looked upon the old car guys as gods.
If they told me it was a worn fornokme rod, I believed them.

Me too Stan, that's why I know a lot of the stuff I do, and have the sensibilities I do

Yes they not only changed the meaning of the word barn, but also the meaning of rat rod evidently.
