Hey Bob check out the metric speedo, (weren't we just talking about that?) and the lack of ''red'' on the hood ornament and C pillar emblem.

Absolutely! The question I have about speedo's is did Mopar equip Canadian and export cars with metric speedo's back then?

I ordered a Z-28 in 1989 through the PX in Germany and it had an EXP (export) code on the build sheet and a giant EXP on the factory window sticker. It had a standard mph speedo.

$20k and the hood ornament and C-pillar medallions are messed up? I have a 10 footer and that bothered the crap out of me. I have the hood ornament squared away. I bought NOS C-pillar medallions from Arizona Parts.

Yes, Mopar put Metric speedos in cars before 78...I've seen 1968 metric speedos on export cars. As for Canadian production 1977 and on Canadian cars had Metric speedos.

Another point of concern is the "specks" on the chrome on the top of the grille. They were notorious for pitting in the Canadian climate, so I'm thinking it would need a new grille surround too.

The checkered velour interior may look wierd, but it is VERY comfortable.

Actually, Mr. C., I think it was from `78 onward. We had both a `77 and `78 LeMans in our family. I drove the `77 and I`m certain it was in Imperial (ahem) units, while the `78 was definitely metric.

It may be comfortable, but was an unfortunate choice by the interior designers. It is really unattractive.
