I have been trying to find the leaf spring rubber bushings for a 78 Newport with no luck.
They are two different sizes used on each side, 2 smaller ones on the bracket end and 2 larger ones that go on the leaf spring.
Anyone know where these are available?
Thx, Wolf

The larger bushing is a 1.5" OD bushing, Chrysler number 4050083. Harris number is HB-830 (or HB830).

Aftermarket coverage is not as broad as the smaller bushing, but it is available as Ford number PB9M5781A and Dayton number HB830. Also available at the following spring providers (possibly others too):
HB 830 Harris Bushing
HB-830 Rubber Harris Split Bushing 1-1/2 O.D. .625 I.D. 1.75 O.L. 1.25 I.L.

The smaller bushing is a 1" OD bushing that was broadly used in Chrysler vehicles including C, B, E, and F bodies, B-vans, and more, but not A-bodies, nor R-bodies. Chrysler numbers are 1400269, 2403154, 3643989. Harris number is HB-889 (or HB889). Also available as Jeep (pre-Chrysler) number 5355841.

Aftermarket coverage is broad and includes several companies and numbers including Dayton HB889 and Moog K7308.
Also available at the following spring providers (possibly others too):
HB889 Harris Bushing (2 Required Per Eye)
HB-889 Rubber Harris Split Bushing 1 O.D. 9/16 I.D. 1.6875 O.L. 1.25 I.L.

R-bodies used the 1.5" bushing in upper and lower positions. The following image shows 4050083 installed in my 1979 Newport. I purchased these at Chrysler and installed ~1993 and ~130000 miles ago.

Side note: The "HB" in the aforementioned numbers stands for Harris Bushing. Harris made many of the rubber components for Chrysler as well as other OEMs and aftermarket companies. The "HB" numbers are also used somewhat generically. For a listing of available HB numbers, by size, from Stengel Bros Inc. see Harris Split Bushings for Automotive Springs.
