Send him a PM Mike. This is an old thread.

with a PM he will get an email notification .. never mind I'll PM him for you. He's a good guy

I don't know about 65 but later Mopars didn't have a 3.73 8 3/4. Would have been 3.23, 3.55, 3.91, or 4.10

Ill try and remember sure grip and the 323 was probably what the macanic told me to get.
Thanks far all your help.

Had a 373 installed in my 69 Fury when the 276 peg leg went bad. Holy smokes, what a neck snapping gear that was.... After the 440 was built and the 373s went in MPGs was down to 6. ..... I like my current 323s

I don't think the 3.73 was ever offered from the factory. The same company that was making the gears for Ma back in the day added that ring and pinion in mOre recent times.
I have a 2.97 open in my Challenger and I'm fine with that, so much so that both the 3.23 & 3.55 SGs will likely stay on the shelf. Now if I could locate a 2.97 SG I'd be all over it.

It gets better mileage than my truck and saves me money on tires, win win!

Talk to our friend down in Tiffin, Ohoho friend Matt. If Mother made it he'll have ah few. I ask him for ah 276 ah year ago and told him I'd take the 1st one he opened up that waz clean and I didn't give ah ratz a$$ if it waz open or closed. He called me back 'bout 24hrz later and ask if ah 274 would do. He'd found an Imperial road gear hiding in ah '68 300. Interestingly, the MPG did not improve over the 323 SG, But I'd trashed that 323 anyway so I tried the real road gear. Hole shotz with ah 5800lb Fined Beast'll will wipe out most pumpkn's yeah know!

Have you ever tried 3.91 or 4.10 you'd really like those for neck snappin :)
