Hey everybody,
The car has broken down two more times and was involved in a minor accident fu©€!ng up the passenger side of the car. Basically, breaking down and becoming suddenly blind while you are merging back onto the highway is a bad deal. (To avoid confusion, all that happened was the car rubbed up against the guard rail to avoid a bigger wreck.)
I'm physically and emotionally sick over this and won't be coming to the show. I'm also going to be taking a break from the forum for a while. Sorry to all who may have been hoping to see the car. I hope to meet some of you at a later time.

Dylan - So sorry for the trouble you have experienced on your odyssey. Thankfully you are safe and only steel was damaged. It may not seem like it right now but you can recover from this. Life happens and as many here will be able to tell you it's having the strength to kick things like this in the *** and say NOT TODAY - NOT ON MY WATCH WILL I BE DEFEATED BY EVENTS I CANNOT CHANGE! Today sucked but tomorrow it will suck less and so on. Take what time you need but remember we are all so very impressed by how far you have come with your car and we will be there to lend a hand when you are ready to climb back on that horse that just bucked you off. Handle the problem don't let it handle you is all I can offer. Good luck Son and stay safe!

So sorry Dylan... That sucks. Like Doba said, the human cargo is what you have to focus on. You have a lot of fans here and we have all had setbacks at sometime ourselves, we will be here when you're ready to return. I was looking forward to meeting you and I am sure it will happen one day... Please don't hesitate to let us know if we can help in any way while you work through the damage and the pain.
Jeff

Sorry to hear about the car but, glad it wasn't worse than it was with the accident. The car can be fixed as it harder to fix the human body as most would agree here. Anyways, best wishes and take care.

Sorry to hear this my friend. They call them accidents for a reason, they're just that. Keep things in perspective and know that this is a judgement free zone for good people such as yourself.

Dylan: We all feel your pain and are sincerely sorry for the hassle you are going through. You are doing the right thing by taking a break. Give yourself a few days; by then, this accident, etc. won't feel so painful.

Been there a time or too myself. It is therapeutic. Trust me.
Relax, rethink, revise. Sabbaticals work wonders.

Sorry about what happened but share sentiments above regarding no injuries. Keep us posted once you start working on the car again.

Take a break, step back, breathe, and focus on a happier place. Then get back to it one thing at a time, and you will be back to your old self before you know it. Just ask Dad, I am sure he's quite familiar with this kind of stuff. We'll be waiting for you.

Damn I bet that left you in a bit of a shock in the aftermath. Take it easy, walk away from the car for awhile, then get back to it. Not much else I can add that everyone else hasn't already stated, hang in that and see you soon.

I will be coming Saturday to pick up Power Wagon parts. I'll be walking around the show field a little bit and will look at the cars in building Y as well. Hollar if any of you see me. I'm pretty hard to miss (6'4" with red hair).

Man I'm sick too now Dylan. Sorry to hear this for you but glad you and whoever was with you are OK. Take your time and we look forward to your return to form and the forum.

By Saturday I should have washed the bugs and bird poop off... in a few minutes she will arrive "as is"

Dylan,
Take all the time you need, and remember we are here when you are ready to work on your love again.

I'm glad you're OK....

You could of parked next to me on the C-Body line and still looked pretty good. LOL!

Better days ahead....

I hope to meet you while you're looking for PW parts.

See, he's back already, and good to go !
If you go by Daves "tent" there should be a big white cooler there that may, or may not, be covered by a blue moving blanket, help yourself to whatever is in there (no Power Wagon parts though). That goes for the rest of you guys too.

Glad to hear your ok, that's really the most important thing. The car can be repaired or replaced you can't. Hang in there it will get better.
