Need to figure out how many wires are used in a 69 Fury AC system in the under hood/ engine harness. Talking with Evans to get a new harness made to replace the "lost" harnes. Any guidance, am away from home and trying to get a jump on this.

cheers

For standard air, there is a black wire that hooks to the blue wire on the compressor clutch. There are two black wires with spade connectors going to the pressure switch on filter/dryer assembly. These three wires are usually in a taped harness. The two terminal fan delay switch on the air box under the hood has one right angle connector with two black wires and one right angle connector with a single black wire. Usually if someone has cut the wires to the compressor and the pressure switch they do not bother with the wires on the fan delay, those are probably still attached. If you look along the air box, there probably is still a stump for the A/C harness if the wires were cut off, usually near the near where the blower wire runs toward the passenger fender. If the stump is still there, it is a simple mater to hand wire the three wire setup, just keep the wire sizes the same.

Dave, the harness was not cut, it was removed, by standard air, you mean not autotemp. If so, the car does not, so a under the hood harness for a 69 has three wires, one to the compressor( that is attached to the compressor clutch) the other two to the pressure switch on filter/dryer assembly. Do you have pics, by any chance, I am trying to work with Bill Evans to make a new harness, so we need to work out the correct number of wires to chose a pattern.
