Looking to add a 6 space fuse panel. I need a good switched power to supply power accessory panel, any ideas? TIA

Since you want to run 10ga wire, I assume you are planning on running some high current accessories. You really won't find a good source for switched power for that use.

As Saylor suggested, a relay and direct feed from the battery is a good way to go. The feed could also come from the starter relay or the starter.

Actually just gonna run 16g for the power because its just for the aftermarket gauges and any extras i might add later. I thought 10g might be a bit excessive. Right now i have the power for gauges just buddied up on the factory fuses and dont want to keep it that way.

No, the relay is operated by the ignition, and only powers the new box when energized, like the rest of your accessories.

And... Fuse the circuit as close to the battery as you can... sorry... didn't see that in here, even if it went without saying...

If you are just running power for gauges, you can flip the fuse block over and use a spade connector to the accessory buss bar. I don't know what year car you have, but many of the cars newer than 69 have a connector on the face of the fuse block that you can use.
