Scrap metal value is probably around $250, I think anything from there to the $500 asking price is fair. It sounds like the first guy with cash will get it. Get a receipt. Better yet, print the ad and write the receipt on the ad, along with the address and the name of whom ever gave you the keys.

I'd offer $400...at 2nd glance, it appears in fair shape. Here's to hoping it's been in dry storage, good luck

Thanks for the advice, I lost out. I got there and there was somebody there first. It started pouring rain, and their deal wasn't done. I looked it over real quick, the hood wouldn't open. Some rust in the quarters, other than that looked straight and untouched. I was tired of getting wet, the guy was in the middle of selling another car, so I told him I'd offer more, I am 10 min away, and he can call me. Pretty sure first guy got it.

'67 Newport Custom 4dr sedan with cornering lights, light package, and other things. Probably a 383 2bbl, TF, 2.76 rear axle ratio. Hopefully w/factory a/c.

Rusty quarters probably could be fixed, one way or another. If the interior was presentable, ought to be worth more than $1000.00 if no mechanical issues, I suspect.

There'll be another one sooner or later . . . maybe in better overall shape.
