It would be discourtious to hijack a For Sale thread so I brought it over here to ask The Best and the Brightest.

The above housing doesn't have the indentation to clear the A/C compressor like the single snorkel.

Will the above shown still fit an A/C equipped engine?

Just satisfying a curiosity.

Which also leads to the question, was a motor home compressor mounted differently than a passenger car? I can't remember ever seeing one mounted on a 440 other than top left of engine.aa.jpg

You guys are missing the point.
Forget about the fact that this housing was on a MH.

Was the housing, pictured in the first post , when it was used on, let's say a 1970 Chrysler 300 with a 440, if that 440 Chrysler 300 was equipped with A/C?

I would say no. The housing in question has the air inlets at 5 and 7 oclockish. The passenger car is more like 4 and 8 oclock.

I am no expert on air cleaners. However, my gut feeling tells me the reduced angle between the snorkels would probably pose a problem clearing the A/C hose that comes out the rear of the compressor.

Yes. New thread because I feel stomping on someone's For Sale post is rude.
Better to ask in a new thread.
All other threads are fair game, tho.... :D

I can check fitment on the '67 440 in out 300 with one of those air cleaners if you would like. We have several of them in the air cleaner stacks. They were also used on industrial engines as well as motor homes. I have seen them sell for $100 in excellent condition.
