All original pristine 1974 Chrysler New Yorker

I DO BELIEVE HE'S SERIOUS :
1974 Chrysler New Yorker, in amazing condition. 70,460 original miles. 7.2 liter V8, 440. New tires. Interior is in perfect condition. Power windows, locks, and mirrors. Tilt steering. A/C doesn't work. Heater works great. 2 door. New Edelbrock carburetor. Runs, but I would recommend having the engine rebuilt. Call 636-575-4852. Texts will not be answered.$25,000 or best offer.

25 grand?!! My feelings has been that all the televised auction shows (Mecum, Barrett-Jackson) are ruining the hobby of owning older cars. It gives the impression everybody has the next big sale. Unrealistic. They don't televise the cheaper sales. If you go to the auction website ahead of time there are usually hundreds of cars listed to be auctioned with highlights of on-air cars. I speak to guys all the time at car shows or cruise nights and they tell me, "my car is worth 40 or 50 grand" . My response is usually, "Did somebody offer you that.?" Answer no. I can think my house is worth a million dollars......but then I wake up and realize it was a dream.

Price still don't add up.

Keep the wheels......$2000.

I would be interested in the interior parts if someone strips this car.....

That and those damn car shows like *** Monkey and street outlaws(?) and the like. I sincerely despise those types of shows. It's all made for idiot box viewing and the idiots watching soak it up as reality.

If the value of C-Bodies goes up..... well great!

But thinking this will get anywhere near $25k is ridiculous!

The sad part is that I like the car itself.

I would love to have an early Formal.

A lot of things I would want to check out.....the front bumper/radiator cooling problem. I like this interior with the emblems in the seats. A lot of other stuff too....

If that was a '76 or a '74-'75 Imperial coupe..... I'd go $3500 if it is rust free!

One question: Would the front and rear header panels from a '76-'78 or a '74, '75 Imp. work on a '74, ''75 New Yorker?

Pristine: not spoiled, corrupted, polluted. Webster Dictionary definition. I don’t think that applies here.

First of all, many of the same people involved with creating, testing, building and marketing a '70 Hemi 'Cuda were undeniably involved with this car as well. In fact, several parts would interchange. That adds reason to the price.

Second of all, it probably needs valve stem seals and/or an accel pump... thus in the mind of an idiot; an engine rebuild. After all, chrome valve covers usually mean cylinder heads rebuilt... now the engine is due.
