WANTED Am-fm 8track needed

Hi all, I'm looking for for an AM-fm radio for my newly acquired 73 Imperial. Mine has an 8-track so I need one that will fill the hole. If the tape deck works it would be a plus but it's not imperitive. I would like the radio to play however.

How big's the hole? My '63 Polara had an 8 track and I had to cut, weld, prime and paint to get an original am/fm radio in.

Ohhhhhhh MY... lol the 8 track part is centered right below the radio. Same size as a tape. I'd like to get an original if i can find one or if I have to try and find someone to fix mine. When you turn it on it immediately blows the fuse.

Sounds like a power input capacitor is shorted?

If all else fails, here is a place that will repair and/or upgrade your existing radio.

Have no experience with them, but it's something you might check into.

I have one from a 69 but I consider it more of a core at the moment. I doubt it will work as is.

I have a factory am/fm 8 track that I just pulled from a 72 Imperial parts car I have. I have no idea if it works but was in a sealed interior parts car and has not been rained in. I have sent you a PM

Have yours upgraded to play CD's and an MP3 player. Several folks out there who do that and there is a fellow in row O at Carlisle who specializes in Mopar radios.
