At the last Barrett Jackson auction. The guy working on my Polara is good friends with him. Seems the car has a great history and a shitload of paper work with it. One of the three guys on the front fender, I think Terry Welsh, is coming up to rebuild the center carb since it is leaking a tad. Just thought it was pretty neat.

A tidbit of bad luck after the purchase.....the car has Fenton Gyro wheels.... Anyway, the tires that the car was purchased with had a slight rub making it hard to push it around the shop so the new owner bought some slightly smaller slicks and took them to a local tire shop....they broke one of the wheels!!! Now he is searching for another Fenton wheel......

$99,000.00 car and the tires rubbed..........
So what's he going to do with it?

Just park it in his garage. I thought it odd also that there was a tire rub.....that is also second hand info from the body man, not the current owner.

Beautiful car no doubt about it hands down. Would it be sacrilegious to make my fury a six pac clone with some slicks?:poke:

I remember reading about it in Super Stock Magazine back in the seventies. They had a series of articles about racing the car.

Lot's of good history on that one.

70 Kugerands can sit in the garage too and still leave room for a gorgeous C-body.....

I know he had a RR when he was young, not sure if it was an A12 or not. But if he is reliving his past, it would suck to have a garage queen you can't drive.

I might be wrong, but I think this is the only Vintage car in his shop and the only Mopar. They have a dozen modern Chevy vehicles. Lingenfelter camaros and Vettes mostly. His shop is across the street from my fathers house. Next time I'm down there I am going to see if he will let me look at the RR.

They packed the biggest tires they could get under them for contact patch and folded in the inner wheel well pinch weld seam to get a little more. They weren't going cruising to the piggly wiggly with it.
