I can't believe it brought that much money, kind of neat to see it though. Guy took a thousand pics!
 
That is cool though. They were a pain to work on. The master cylinder was the worst to get out. All kinds of issues with those cars. I had a 71 Vega GT. It was the same one in the picture. Not the wagon. Same color too. Cool car, but really bad motor! Remember those?

People will pay for original junk! I wonder,is that molding on the sides original? At least it's advertized as so with original paint,because once it's painted it is not...

My 1st car was a 68 Fury fastback 383-4 barrel. My 2nd car was a 74 Vega wagon 350 4 spd. Fun car.
 
they were typical of the junk detroit was pushing out around that time.......engines were not made to last. I don't believe that price.
 
what's the name of the dealer in south dakota with the ridiculously priced stuff? Name starts with a G IIRC.........
 
I guess there's a fool for every folly. I'd love to see the guy who coughs up that kind of coin.
 
When I was 16 my girlfriend's parents had one of these and we'd borrow it to go the movies. The highway home included long mountain access, if you weren't doing 125 KM/H at the bottom you'd be lucky to be screaming along at 30 by the time you reached the top. In fact, I seem to recall being passed by fully loaded transports on occasion.
 
Hey, my buddy has a red chevette in better shape than that with black leather interior & a 4 speed. He has a bunch of time capsule cars including 3 Studebaker Avantis. One with a Paxton blower.

Gesswein is the SD dealer. My hometown hero.
