Having a hard time locating a 65/66 polara antenna, but NOS bezels are abundant. So can a bit later or other model antenna be torn down at the base and will it then fit my bezel? My car didn't have the antenna when I bought it, so I am not able to have one in hand to see how far you can tear it down. Or maybe even buy the 65 bezel and tear down a more universal such as listed below?

I stuck a power antenna on mine - had to massage the inner fender to make the motor fit, but looks pretty dang good. If the parts cars weren't buried I'm pretty sure there's one out there.

Found the leftovers from the power install - I re-used the bezel and bottom part for that, but this is what the proper antenna base looks like. The bottom piece missing looks like a half moon about 2 inches long, it slides down over the long sleeve, rounded side down and the flat top side seats against the fender, it provides ability to change the angle or adapt to the angle of the fender. For kicks, here's the power setup I used.
