I've learned over the past few years that you guys are unique...in a good way. So, going through boxes that have been packed up since 79 I ran across a brass steam whistle that my dad had (for some reason). Any good ideas of what I can do with this?

Use it to call hubby for dinner when he's working in the garage on the Monaco.

Cool! Post a picture if you can.

My dad had one also. When we settled his estate, I tried to find out what it was worth. I took it along with a steam relief valve to a large swap meet/flea market. A guy knowledgeable in them told me I'd be lucky to get $75 for the pair as they were fairly common and not that desirable. I found a guy that was willing to give me $80 for the pair so I took it. Cool item but disappointingly, not that valuable if you are trying to sell it.

Not looking to sell. Just thought it should be used for something. Dinner call, or something.

That is neat. Dinner bell or door bell! If it's not worth much, I would polish it up.

That is really cool. I would definitely try hooking it up to the air compressor. If you have good results with the toot, we expect a link to a you tube video of your results.

Door bell would be pretty cool! Put it right outside, by the door, and scare the **** outa whoevers ringing it!

Great conversation piece for the garage, give it a tug once in a while.
