It was supposed to be Goldie's night. I had it request about two and a half months ago if Goldie could be driven in a parade before prom at my old high school. Well she wasn't ready. They drove my MG instead. Anybody here allow their car to be driven to the prom? Mine was just a parade so no big deal.

My oldest son took my Corvette (and the neighbor girl) to his prom.

The prom also included it's annual "Crystal Ball Cruise", where the local car guys pick up kids and drive them to the Senior Ball/Prom as long as they sign a "no drugs or alcohol" promise for the evening. I drove some kids in my A-12 Roadrunner in the background.

My son took his English teacher out for a ride in the Corvette too that night.

He took the same girl and the Corvette to the Junior Prom.

By the way... He's got a beautiful wife and two kids now. She's married and has one kid.

I would if it were my children driving but would be nevous about the other kids driving near it

Last year a neighbor kids dad actually called and asked if his son could use our Raptor for prom. It was really hard to find a pleasant way to say **** no over the phone.

Some people have a lot of nerve. I would NEVER call up a neighbor and ask something like that. Is his wife hot? Maybe you could have suggested a barter.

His wife is fat and snorts when she laughs. So NO!!!! They aren't afraid to ask to borrow anything. When our Tahoe was a week old back in 2010, they asked to borrow it for a family trip! No joke. He used to ask to borrow my skid steer so much that I moved it to a different location. He was going on a snowmobile trip with about eight people and at the last minute asked if I wanted to go. So I said sure......he then says that we will have to use my truck and pull the big trailer.....I didn't go snowmobiling that day. It blows my mind that some people have the balls to ask some things.

Un-Be-lieve-able

It's weird having a neighbor that you just cringe when you see him cause you know he's gonna ask for something. LOL

Come on Ross, let the challenger out for the night.

I think Ross is providing a public service not letting a teenager drive his Challenger, the kid would probably kill himself driving it. I had to shake my head last night, a kid picked up a guys 60's Ford 500, as soon as the guy was gone he was laying a patch.

I personally wouldn't allow anyone to drive my car on the road without me in it. When I have been asked a couple of times in the past I politely say my insurance doesn't allow anyone but myself to drive it. That saves me from just saying no.

Never had kids but I'll never forget how I treated cars, mine or others, when I was a kid...
