on this dodge ram I got, it has parking sensors in the front and rear. so the other day im stopping at a light, and there is another dodge ram right in front of me, with the sensor thingys too.

as I pulled to a stop, my dash flashed to some message about needing to clean the sensors and they had gone titsup and all that.

then they like reset and all was good.

I think my sensor and dudes sensor were either talking to each other or interfering with each other. I didn't get out and go ask him..

anyone seen this before? undocumented feature?

this truck is so computerized, im not sure im driving. I think the computer is.

but it hauls ***.

The rear sensors are only on when in reverse, so I don't think there was any "talking" going on. Probably a computer glitch. The only time I had the sensor warning come on was when they were covered with ice from freezing rain.

My wife has them on her Cadillac DTS ( rear back up and forward parking assist ) they go spastic with the rain, ice and snow but usually reset themselves after a while.

Maybe I should put a set in my 69 Sport Fury Vert...... :eek:s_dancing2:

Fins used to be a better solution. ;)

thats a nice ride there ^^ sweet coral color.

thanks for the comments on the sensors. i guess i was thinking they are on all the time, at both ends of the truck, no matter what gear im in.

. . . anyone know about the 8 speed transmission and if they can adjust it? the 1-2 shift sucks. i was wondering if it can be set via a config file or other computer-type hackery?

it shifts at like 5mph, and leaving a light under light throttle has a hesitation.

id just as soon start out in 2nd. or have the 1-2 shift at a higher rev.

anyone?

thanks -
