Years ago, I found a 1978 FSM that had obviously sat on a tech's bench for quite some time, as it had wicked clear atf into the bulk of the pages. Still readable, though. Just need to have nitrile gloves on to do it.
The ONE most interesting part was in the TorqueFlite section where "Stall Speeds" were mentioned. The graphic listed the stall speeds for each engine used in Chryslers that model year. The very surprising aspect was that some of the OEM 440HP motors had stall speed specs at 3000rpm! Factory 10.75" converters making that kind of stall speed from the 8.2CR engines seems totally amazing, to me. Which means that if somebody wanted a "stall converter", it might not be any better than what was in the car! LOL
