I'm in Mesa AZ for Car Week, going to Barrett tomorrow. My favorite event of the week was the Pavilions Cruise-in in Scottsdale, which I've been told has been canceled permanently. Has any other cruise-in replaced this? Kinda sad, it was my favorite even of the week.

Yeah it sucks that they closed down the Pavillions. The only fairly large one I know about is this one. Mixteca Cruise-In - Arizona Car Culture It's on the West side of Phoenix. There are a number of smaller ones around the valley but the Pavillions is missed.

I will back up the Mixteca cruise. Different crowd than Pavillions, (there won't be any rows of new Corvettes) but the cars are interesting and the food is good! Shame about the Pavillions though, I didn't know that. PHX having a car-culture was a big reason it used to be on my retire-to-list.
