I am considering shilling my 1965 Sport Fury, completely restored, convertible, high value, from Phoenix to Bismarck, ND in a covered ban. Any recommendations as to carrier(s)! Thanks
Thanks, they don't service North Dakota! Guess it must still be the wild west! It's been 17 years, but I have used this company twice to move my 300. Once from VA to Phoenix, and again from Phoenix to VA. First time was around 1999, and the second time was 2008. They took good care of my car both times and pickup/delivery was very smooth.

Problem is knowing who to trust! Moved the car out to Phoenix from Omaha in single trailer unit and moved my GTO from San Francisco the same way. Would be my preference. Don't know how to find similar transport! To valuable to "throw darts" but thanks! My $0.02. 40 years of paying for this service.
Per your description, this is the kinda transport equipment you'd prefer. Fully enclosed, multiple car capability (helps transporter keep costs down, but may mean you car could be excessively handled) .... LOTS of companies do this kinda work, through independent contractors OR there own fleets.
Tends to be the most expensive form of transport. tend to operate without incident, tend to have an extensive public record that can be studied.

If NOT a Class 8 rig, I have had good success/fair rates with these kinda guys/gals too. One/two car haulers, fifth wheels/hitched to 3 ton pickups, will go ANYWHERE and they are person who picked up the car WAS owner/operator/dispatcher all in one.

Trying to stayt on topic, I used to maintain a list of guys I always used. That kinda fell apart on me in past couple decades -- thats an industry observation, and NOT aimed at any transporter.
Folks retired, ESL providers emerged (cool, but communication proved difficult), and "incidents" with my cars (buying or selling) became more frequent. I used to know the stats ... most transports go well, some dont, and some are REALLY all FUBAR.
My point: Throw a dart at a "yellow pages" list of transporters and you are still likely to get a good experience. But, you might not.
Seems that's just how it goes moving 2-ton hunks of metal, thousands of miles. STuff happens that is inherent to the activity ... and nobody's fault sometimes.
Do your own DD on recommendations you get, or darts thrown at a list. BBB record, licensed, georgraphic clear written contractual terms, ease/difficulty in communication BEFORE you book, are they a broker or owner operator ,etc. Something that looks funny/fishy, pick somebody else.
Good luck in your move. Nice car.
