What kind of bead rollers are you guys using? Looking at getting one next pay day. Had an eye on the eastwood one, but if there are better ones out there?... I'd like to stay in the same price field though. lol

Thanks BigJohn! That one from woodward fab looks nice! I like that it can be operated by one person. The one from eastwood looks like you need 2 people to operate it corectly.

I was gonna pick up a cheapy bench vise off ebay, instead of getting a stand. I need one anywhay, and a bead roller would be a great tool to go along with it.

I bought a bead roller from Eastwood.
When it arrived, it was the exact same one my friend bought from Harbor Freight.
The exact same one....

I'm not surprised.

Having your own brand of tools is just a decal away.

The only thing I found that was a deal from Eastwood was the silver Argent spray paint for my road wheels.

Eastwood has some good stuff. I've bought things from them for many years. They have always shipped faster than most other vendors. My experiences with customer service is a little less than stellar, but everything I bought has been good quality.

They have a great line of buffing supplies and I've used them quite a bit with very good results. Right now I'm buffing the stainless trim from my Chrysler using their buffs and compounds with a Harbor Fright buffer. Eastwood sells a Baldor buffer and their own brand. The Baldor is... well... a Baldor and I would expect that to be very good. Eastwood's buffer looks like a HF buffer with blue paint.

The have a decent line of rattle can products and I understand their rust paints are as good or better than anyone else sells.

I'd think twice about buying tools from them. From what I've seen, most of their tools can be sourced elsewhere at cheaper prices.... and with cheap tools, you get what you pay for.

I just bought a few cans of silver Argent spray paint for $5 less per can plus free shipping from Amazon Prime.

I also will not be buying hi-temp engine paint from then again. Terrible color match to the trained eye on Chrysler Corporate Blue. Pretty for cruise nights. FAIL by judging standards.

Thank you guys for saving me some $$. Honestly I have no problem getting certain cheap tools, that I might use once or twice from harbor freight.. But this is one of those tools I really don't want to cheap out on.. Then again I'll probably only use it the few times for this bodywork on the car lol. Idk.... Maybe I'll get one from em.

I've never used eastwood before. They do have a rattle can spatter paint, and tank tone (gas tank) paint that I want to get.

And here I was going to suggest mittler brothers bead roller since you didn't wanna cheap out. I'm always late to the party.

Zac, regardless of how easy they make those bead rollers sound, they are a two man operation.
One to crank and one to feed.

Another reason to get the old lady out to the garage! lol She will just love it! HA! I showed her the pics, and she thought it was pretty nifty. Maybe theres a little hope.. :dontknow:

Thats why I love summit! Ordered it yesterday afternoon, and it showed up today. Wasn't expecting it to be as heavy as it is! Bout broke my back picking it up off the ground! Hopefully the vise I ordered will support this thing!
