This one is all over Sac's Craigslist. It's probably been posted before. I found the same car listed for $100 less.

916 599-367seven For more info. Always a California car..

The color of the seats make me think they came out of another car or someone had leftover non correct blue at the upholster.

Asking 17.5K. If that were a ‘67 I’d want it badly!:wideyed:

If I remember correctly that was a low production car. I agree, the blue doesn't look like the correct shade. Beautiful car though. I wonder if it were Mr. Dryesdale's. He drove nice Imperials.

Just 474.

The same car has been all over eBay for quite some time. he started out at 20 thousand and now it’s down to 17’5.. how far off on the asking price is he In you all’s opinion? I love the car..

I agree, I realize that the '68 is close to the same as the '67 ,but that '68 grill just doesn't do it for me as much as the '67. Not to mention the wood in the interior.
Still a beauty though. Nice white pinstripe down the side would really set it off.

As Pete mentioned something is off with the color. I would think they should've been a darker blue. The fender tag would give us a hint.

I don't know what this car is worth, but spending money on a 'finished' car that has a bad color shade like that (the seats) IMO drops the value almost as much as if the seats hadn't been recovered.

But don't get me wrong, I drive on torn seats and parts-store seatcovers, so I'd be OK with it - just not at full price.

How do you really price a car like this though?

By the others that are out there, how close it is to you (or shipping cost), how much of the Imperial-specific mechanicals have been preserved/updated,, how much you like the color combo, how much money you have, if you're tired of looking for the 'right' car - so a seller can really only take a guess at what they think someone might be willing to pay.

So there are few direct comparisons, but we (on this website) can ID if something is an outlier on price (one way or the other).

Edit - not meaning to sound like a smartass, I know what you're saying. 50% of the purch price of a car like this come from the emotional of the buyer?

EE-1 maybe? Not commonly seen on an Imp. The color still doesn’t look right.
Either of the other blue shades and this car sells easily.

The seller likely picks a number out of the air and runs with it.
It's the right price for the right buyer at the right time...
I did the same with Betty. It's over priced but it's the number I picked.
Mine's for sale but not really at the same time.
All I need is the right buyer at the right time and the right price.
Perhaps this is the case as well.

There was a '68 California car at today's swap that looked good (but needed top) for $6200. Just pics on a swap board, but I think it was local. Would have checked it out if I was serious. It was Green, which; if the seats were bad or black/white would be a license to do it "my way".
