When I did engine pull on my Fury, I found an old, greasy ac power cord that went to a block heater made by Starr. Heater was in the center plug location, driver's side.

I am guessing the car must have been in the northeast part of the country?

Block heaters were a factory option and if ordered that way it would show up on the broadcast sheet. They will have a factory date code on them that will be close to scheduled build date of car.
The broadcast sheet will also show dealer code and order number that will narrow down the search.
Majority of block heaters were either dealer, owner or aftermarket installed.
Hope this helps

Wasn't this the standard Canadian engine block heater?

I don't have a broadcast sheet. Car also has dealer air conditioning. I have the big box mounted under the dash with evaporator and fan.

I had a recirculator type heater. The temp difference would get the coolant moving and circulate it through the engine. They were up to about 3,000 Watts and heated an engine no matter how cold the weather.

BTW, before you use an old block heater, check the wiring for age damage. There have been a number of car fires caused by shorted block heaters here in Calgary.

Not bad today, +7C (45F) but Saturday is forecast to be -28C (-20F) so check those cords!

My Saskatchewan car had the two block heaters... one for each side of the 383

Any members here in Chicago area that have block heaters may wanna plug em in lol
I bought my 66-300 in Chicago back in 95 and it didn't have a heater. I'm the 2nd owner and knew the original owner very well. How that car survived the blasts of 67 and 79 there is beyond me?? It's was always a Chicago car now sitting happy in the dry west for the past 18 years.

Saskatchewan is in the west part of Canada. It Borders with Montana and North Dakota.

I’m trying to remember if my other C body which was bought in Alberta had two block heaters or not. I think it did.

Redneck fer sure...but looks like they all iz runnin' n drivin'

I love that video. ALL Mopar I think except for one Mercedes and one Chevy. Canadian rednecks. Who would have thought it.

He has some real gems. Most look rough but he can make them run. His videos feature some unusual (to me) Mopars that seem to have only been sold in Canada.
