I've always liked these...nice to cleanse the Imperial palate from time to time...I monitor GCC weekly looking for interesting ones.

Good example for the "should I just paint my car a bright color?" threads.

Who wants to bet it was cream/tan/brown/gold when new?

Well...I would have picked red (E5)...if my arm was twisted...otherwise, left it original color.

I often have mixed feelings for these kinds of "restorations". They're half-assed and will leave the buyer with a bitter taste, but the world isn't exactly filled with Mercury Marquis enthusiasts.

So if the car is left decrepit, does it otherwise end up as scrap metal? Does this band-aid resto buy it a decade until it finds just the right owner who tears it down and does it right? So many variables. The government should fund a research project... just enough for me to quit my job, lease a large industrial space and conduct research.

Carmine is that wax residue?

Is this a guy with a piece of black licorice stuck in a molar?

I'm gonna say this was instead where they found the adhesive limits of fine-line masking tape. And the area between the swirly part of the "M" and the peak of the "M" was how far you can jam a 5" DA sander against the emblem, thus leaving a ridge.

Maybe I should stick to teeth...now that I enlarged it on the laptop that is tooth #32 with a fractured/missing occlusal restoration likely leading to a huge visible cavernous cavitation, also distal and lingual hairline fractures...radigraphically likely has extreme deep decay, possibly split and periapical abscess===all that means is pain usually and needs extraction. However, I have seen many like this that are necrotic and are now asymptomatic. Either way, should go...wisdom teeth are 99% useless unless you are missing a second(12 year) molar.

LOL!!!! Now imagine the guy in the photo came in saying "I know it could be rotted, but I also just ate some black licorice, so maybe???"

Dr: "wishful thinking my friend."

Don't know what it is about large Ford products of that time period. People chuck the term "Malaise Era" around a little too liberally for my taste. I always feel like Ford began that era in their full size offering years before anyone else.

That,s ugly !!!!!!:realcrazy:
For that money you can buy a SF GT

The original color- probably white, would make the car look better. Appears a cheap and nasty paint job to be foisted onto a new owner at an extortionate price.

Car deserves better than this as its rare.

You don't have to this with just licorice.
