Boats by the River (BBTR) #10

Having officially reached old age, my memory fails me more often now. It was a maybe 8 or 10 years ago somebody on this board (maybe in the Chicago area) did just that but I think it was for all C Bodies. Can anyone remember the guys who did that?

Tim was doing it until this year. It is supposed to be kept going by someone else.

In that time frame, I can only think of the C-body show that @sixpkrt started and that grew substantially over the years. It is a stationary show, and has taken place at various locations in Illinois. It is very nicely attended. @71Polara383 and Tim can chime in on this year's edition.

Luckily for us here in the USA, Wyatt @71Polara383 is carrying the torch and has already set the date for the next C Body Show to be held in Rockford, IL on October 4th.

I had always enjoyed putting this event on for the last 8 years, at the various locations, and meeting fellow members and seeing their rides.
Many friendship have been made.
I announced last year it would be my last show in Illinois, because for 2025, I decided I was sticking to my plan and making the goal of leaving Illinois was going to be my #1 focus.
Now that the house has been purchased in Tennessee, and the ground work will soon begin on the pole barn, there's a good possibility there could be 2 C Body Shows in 2026.
The BBTR show is quite amazing,
with an always growing number of C bodies each year.
Well done.
@ayilar has done a nice job as well by adding the annual CATL event for the C Body enthusiasts.
If it weren't for this show, I may have never checked off one of the boxes off my bucket list, to ride on Route 66 in a classic car.
I hope the C Body shows here and over seas, continues for many years.
