You don't like to see "unadorned" carburetors? Looks like the OEM Stromberg WWC-3? Which might well mean the upper air horn is warped and it gets 10mpg no matter what (by observation from years ago with our '66 Newport).

Painted roof? Another possible issue unless it's a "two-tone" on the data plate.

Would be a nice looking car if it was cleaned and detailed. Must have been a cloudy day?
