I had to take off my rear bumper to get to the rust on my drivers rear fender. Now that I have it off is there a good chroming place in Florida that anyone knows about. Stan? This is one my 68 Newport.

Florida??? Nope. You'll have to ship it out. A lot of guys swear by a place in Virginia (???) or somewhere around there. Guys, refresh my memory.
Alternative: Find a bike shop around the area that does killer customs. Ask them where they ship their chrome to.
I can not imagine Miami (of all places) not having a chrome shop.

Tri city plating in Elizabethton Tenn..... They specialize in bumpers. Straightening is part of the process and triple plating is the only way to go.
I've had almost a hundred bumpers done there and they stand behind their work ... top quality.

There ya go :)
I used Florida Metal Refinishing once.
Nice job but he was so slow I didn't recommend him.
Your results may be better.

how much does it cost to get both bumpers done about? And they fix dents too?

Here is the place I used it is called Metal Brite and they do pot metal you can see the before and after shots. They will ship all over the US and will give you a quote for the work from pictures in an e-mail. http://www.metal-britepolishing.com/

Thanks for the info, I've done quite a bit of research online and they all say they are the best (of coarse).....

One thing I've always wondered about and never seen movies or even photos of are the facilities the manufacturers used when all cars had chrome bumpers front and rear. Those places must have been unbelievably nasty inside when you had to plate a few million bumpers plus other parts every year.

Most of the chrome parts were out sourced back in the day.

Then they REALLY had to be hell holes..... The worst. Only underpaid Irish and Italians would take those jobs
