I'm telling everyone not from Canada here, if you can only get to one show make it Moparfest. They have some nice automobiles up there, the likes you'll never see here

The '69 Monaco looks like a really nice car for $3,000.

I thought a 383 was the base engine for the Monaco? Was the 318 in a Monaco a Canada thing?

I think that only was with the early model years 65-66.

Yes, but I cannot read French...$6000??? if it was as presented and delivered to my door in Wisconsin, I would consider it. Also, I think these are the ULTRA RARE wheels that were put out and recalled in part by the U.S. Government. I believe they are now being reproduced, seeing a article in Mopar Collectors Guide magazine.
Jeez, did the spray paint that air cleaner, AND the master cylinder cover as well...[/QUOTE]

Those original recall wheels are rarely ever found. The repops are done so well that I can't tell the difference from a distance.

Those are not the rare "recall" wheels.

The "Road wheels" were offered on the 69 B & C body models in 69. They were discontinued and recalled in Sept of 68 by Chrysler corp. due to some cracks in the lug nut area found on a few wheels in service. It was a voluntary recall and the Government had nothing to do with it.
Chrysler elected to recall all the wheels rather then take a chance on the liability of broken wheels. Few were put in service and not all had the cracking issues. It has been speculated that improper lug nut torque was the cause. There are some of these original wheels still out there. A set was recently seen advertized for sale at $12,000.00.

might be a good deal then for someone that buys that car.........even if you don't like the wheels you can sell them and finance a good chunk of the resto

Here's a Google Translate version - helps a bit but not a whole lot:

"Superb Dodge car color Gold déplaquée for the winter but I walk with all lete, 383 engine, leather interior fabrics and original, in very good condition, does not take the winter-tire brake and new paint of was 2010-2011, using the last album Jorane (photo cover). NEGO car, only serious person ... for sale as soon as possible done fast! I need a car for the winter, jeeptj, sonama, Jimmy ... 6000dollards open to all offers"

I wonder if Jorane comes with the car?
